The TriMetric battery monitor is designed to
assist in battery care, conservation and system maintenance of
battery powered systems that use storage batteries with system
voltage from 12-48 volts. It provides the
user with information on battery "volts",
"amps" and "amp-hours" and "battery percent full" information, based
on measuring the amp-hours removed from the battery system.
Reliability, accuracy and simplicity are key product objectives.
The TriMetric requires an external shunt located near the
batteries to measure "amps" and "amp-hours".
The meter readout may be located hundreds of feet away from
batteries and is usually connected to the shunt with a 4 wire
cable.

The TriMetric (Model TM-2020) has been available since April 1998 and incorporates "user friendly" features including a "Battery % full" display, and a "battery reminders" to help users to better care for their batteries. The suggested retail price of the TM-2020, with shunt is under $200. More information about the TriMetric...... NEW! The TriMetric (Model TM-2025) (ALSO KNOWN AS: TM-2021) will be available soon. It will come in two styles: one intended for (but not limited to) RV use--and another version oriented to off grid users. It will be close in function to the present TM-2020 but will be different in a few respects. It will include 12V-48V operation and lightning protection as standard and have some additional data logging functions which are intended to aid in diagnosis of some system probems. It will be priced slightly higher than the TM-2020. The RV model will be narrower and include its own enclosure. The off grid model will have the same size panel as the present TM-2020 and will be designed to fit in a double gang electrical box. We hope that the instructions, though even longer than for the TM-2020, will be easier for non technical users to digest, while retaining in a reference section the technical information that some may need. They consist of two parts of which preliminay copies may be downloaded here: Instruction manuals and other information for the TriMetrics:The following documents are in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format for which you need the "Acrobat reader" program on your computer.
